About us:
We are a chapter of the Autism Society of America, an all-volunteer organization with no paid staff.

We support over 8,000 individuals living with autism in the Greater Dayton area, and their families, as a 501(c)3 non-profit. ID: 20-5769495

Funds raised through this walk/run STAY LOCAL to help local families.

With the funds raised we provide:
-Grants for education, recreation, camp, therapy and medical care for individuals with autism
-Family-friendly events
-Educational workshops for educators, practitioners and families
-Monthly support groups
-Referrals for educational options, medical care, and more

ABOUT AUTISM: Autism is a complex neurological disorder characterized by difficulties in communication and socialization. It is more prevalent than childhood diabetes, Muscular Dystrophy, and Childhood cancer combined. It affects an estimated 1 in 110 individuals. There is no known cause for autism and no cure. Treatment options are available and early intervention is key to lifelong success. With the right intervention and supports, individuals with autism can live a fulfilling life embedded within in their community, have meaningful employment, have friends and live semi-independently. Some even attend college.
